Grand opening at Mons

 

Bodet Sport has equipped the basketball arena of the Dexia Mons Hainaut team who plays in the Belgian Ethias league. The Mons Arena is now equipped with a Bodet display solution that includes 2 scoreboards BT6730FIBA 15, a four-sided centre-hung video display (9m² face) and a video control system that allows the broadcast of the game in streaming over the internet. To complete the installation a new Bodet HF whistle system (FIBA approved) is used which allows the referee or umpires to stop the game clock with a simple whistle blow without any intervention from the table officials.

 

Who could dream of a better start?

The scoreboards were successfully used for the first time on Tuesday, October 4th, during the qualifying round of the Eurocup against Besiktas. Beaten by 8 points at the issue of the first game in Turkey the Belgian team qualified brilliantly during their home game in front of fans delighted by the show offered to them. “Today we have the best equipped basketball arena of the Belgian championship” says Thierry Wilquin, the team general manager, after the game.

Consequently, Dexia Mons Hainaut joins the teams qualified for the Eurocup and among them Cholet Basket. These 2 teams may well play each other during the group stage in November.
